When the Mala finds you
For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt called to have a mala. Deep down, I knew it would one day become a key part of my meditation practice (in addition to my muse headband)…a companion for the inner journey, as it so often is for spiritual yogis. Still, every mala I came across felt beautiful, but not quite mine.
I didn’t rush the search. I didn’t study the meaning of beads, colors, or textures. Instead, I trusted my intuition. I knew that when the right mala appeared, I wouldn’t need an explanation, I would simply feel it.
That moment finally arrived at a yoga expo in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Among the energy and movement, one mala stand caught my eye and my heart. The creator was wearing it!! The resonance was instant. I didn’t need to think twice. I could not get my eyes off from it. I knew it belonged with me.
Later, as I learned more about the meaning behind its beads, the name, and the energy it carried, I was in awe. Everything aligned so perfectly with my own path and the quest I was going through at that specific moment that it felt as though this mala had been created for me. A reminder that divine timing always knows best.
Malas are more than strands of beads—they are sacred tools for meditation and self-connection. Each one carries its own vibration through color, texture, and stone, but the true magic happens when you allow your intuition to guide you. Sometimes the mala chooses you.
Now, when I hold mine during meditation, I feel supported, grounded, and deeply connected. It’s become more than an object. It’s a reflection of my journey, a reminder of trust, and a symbol of alignment.
My reflection for you: if you feel drawn to a mala, don’t force the search. Trust your intuition and allow the right one to find you. You’ll know when it’s yours, not because of logic, but because of the way it resonates with your spirit.
~Namaste!
